An ancient science/art based in the fact that thought and the manifestation of thought, i.e. letters, words, numbers, is vibratory in nature. That vibration 'creates' in the physical world whether that other 'creation' be a thought, a behavior pattern or a limousine. This belief in physical manifestation, creation based on a 'word', is even mentioned in the Christian Bible. 'God SAID 'Let there be light', and there was light, God saw that light was good and God divided light from darkness [formless void].' (Gen. 1:1-5. New Jerusalem Bible).
Man is a being of vibrations. This was understood as far back as the Chaldeans who began to study human nature and just how these 'vibrations' are played out in your life. They focused on the inner actions, conscious as well as unconscious. Thus, Numerology began to be a useful tool for self-understanding and personal growth. As man as a group 'matured', Numerology grew as well. Pythagoras then refined, redefined and improved upon the work of the Chaldeans so that most of the Numerology of today is known as Pythagorean Numerology. The Jews also extended their esoteric studies into this area and worked with the 'numerology' of the Old Testament and developed the Kabbalistic teachings.
As you may know, there are free offers of some aspects of numerology on line. These are not complete in that they are the equivalent to, in Astrology, the sun sign horoscopes done for the newspapers. Numerology is about your relationship with yourself. Just telling you the individual Aspects is a small part of your chart.
